The Youth Employment Service (YES) is a public-private initiative led by the Presidency to address youth unemployment in South Africa.
Through this programme, Eskom creates work opportunities for unemployed youth in line with the BBBEE definition.
The programme gives young people an opportunity to enter the job market and gain practical work experience in the energy sector.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must be between the ages of 18 and 34
Must have Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
Must not have been employed permanently by a single employer continuously for more than 1 year
Must not be studying full-time in the year of employment
Must not have participated in or registered on the YES initiative before
Applicants should have the following competencies:
Knowledge of Eskom policies and procedures
Applicants will go through a recruitment process.
Successful candidates will be placed within Eskom Operations across the divisions.
