Our Purpose

StarterJobs.co.za exists to help South African job seekers find legitimate entry-level opportunities and prepare stronger applications. Our editorial work focuses on internships, learnerships, bursaries, graduate programmes, no-experience jobs, and practical career guidance for people starting out.

We do not publish general lifestyle content or unrelated articles. Every guide, listing note, and resource should help a reader make a better job-search decision.

How We Source Listings

We compile opportunities from public sources such as employer career pages, government portals, training providers, bursary providers, and established job boards. When a listing includes an official application link or original source, we display it so readers can verify the details before applying.

StarterJobs is not the employer and does not make hiring decisions. Our role is to organise information, add context for first-time applicants, and direct users to the official application channel where possible.

Review Standards

Before a listing or guide is published, we aim to check that it is relevant to South African entry-level candidates, includes enough application detail to be useful, and does not ask job seekers to pay fees to apply. We also add application tips, safety reminders, and contextual advice where a listing may be difficult for new applicants to understand.

  • Listings should include a clear employer or programme provider.
  • Application instructions should point to an official channel where available.
  • Closing dates are shown when known, and expired opportunities are removed from active listing pages.
  • Career advice is written for South African job seekers and reviewed for practical usefulness.

Corrections and Updates

Job information can change quickly. Employers may close applications early, change requirements, or move an application link. If we discover that a listing is outdated, misleading, or no longer active, we update or remove it as soon as practical.

Readers and employers can report corrections, expired listings, broken links, or suspicious posts by emailing hello@starterjobs.co.za. Please include the page URL and the correction you want us to review.

Advertising and Independence

StarterJobs may display advertising or use commercial partnerships to keep the platform free for job seekers. Advertising does not determine which career advice we publish. We do not ask users to click ads, and we do not place ads where they interfere with reading, navigation, or application instructions.

Job Seeker Safety

We repeatedly remind users never to pay to apply for a job, learnership, bursary, or internship. If a third party asks for money, banking details, or sensitive documents before a formal process, job seekers should verify the organisation directly and treat the request with caution.
