The internships are aimed at qualifying students in Johannesburg communities.

A Degree or Diploma in Agriculture Studies, Development Studies or an equivalent qualification.
A completed qualification with a minimum of 360 credits.
Residence within the City of Johannesburg.
The successful intern will support activities relating to agricultural value chains, food processing, food quality and food safety.
The role is intended to assist farmers in moving from primary agricultural production towards processed and value-added products.
The intern may also support training and compliance activities linked to:
South African Bureau of Standards requirements.
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points certification.
Implementing activities that increase smallholder agricultural production.
Identifying food and agricultural value-chain opportunities in Johannesburg.
Supporting implementation plans that help farmers access markets.
Coordinating with local partners.
Supporting agricultural market days across regions.
Managing stakeholder relationships with farmers and agro-processors.
Performing administrative work for relevant programmes.
Monitoring and evaluation skills.
