AFGRI Farmer Development is inviting applications for the 2026 Work Integrated Learning Programme.
This opportunity is aimed at students who are currently enrolled for, or planning to register for the final year of, a National Diploma in Agriculture and require experiential training to complete their qualification.
Successful candidates will be placed at Vastfontein Farm in Pretoria North, where they will gain practical work experience relevant to their field of study.

Applicants must be studying towards one of the following qualifications:
National Diploma: Agriculture, Crop Production
National Diploma: Agriculture, Irrigation Systems
Successful candidates will be expected to:
Work with a cross-functional team to complete a Work Integrated Learning project assigned by the Line Manager
Gain on-the-job work experience aligned with their qualification and career aspirations
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to support business objectives
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must be registered or planning to register for the final year of a National Diploma in Agriculture, Crop Production or Agriculture, Irrigation Systems, at a recognised higher education institution in South Africa in 2026
Work Integrated Learning must be a compulsory requirement for completion of the qualification
Must not have worked full-time for more than one year in their field of study
Should be based in the city of hire
Good academic grades will be a strong advantage

Successful candidates will be appointed on a 12-month fixed-term internship contract.
