Volvo Trucks is recruiting a student or graduate to join its Volvo Action Service team in Johannesburg.
The successful candidate will help coordinate communication and activities between customers, drivers, home dealers, repairing dealers and relevant market representatives when a vehicle breakdown occurs.
The position reports to the Customer Support Manager and provides workplace exposure in customer service, call-centre operations, breakdown assistance, administration and case management.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure efficient communication between all parties involved in a vehicle breakdown.
The successful candidate will assist with coordinating breakdown cases involving:
Technical and customer-support teams
The student will help ensure that cases are managed according to Volvo Action Service procedures.
A completed tertiary qualification or current registration towards one.
Customer and personal-service skills.
Basic clerical or administrative ability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Handling the full breakdown process according to departmental procedures.

Escalating delayed or complicated cases.

The student will be expected to follow up actively on cases that have not yet been resolved.

Updating customers on progress.
Escalating cases that exceed service expectations.
Handing over unresolved cases at the end of a shift.
The successful candidate may assist with financial arrangements connected to vehicle breakdowns.
Confirming whether service products apply.
Following Volvo financial procedures.
Answering questions from customers and dealers.
Recording approvals and financial arrangements.
Ensuring that the appropriate parties understand payment responsibilities.
The role requires the candidate to use acquired technical understanding when communicating with customers and dealers.
