Role Overview
Tiger Brands Limited was founded by Jacob Frankel (and partly Joffe Marks) in 1921 as a family business. Previously known as Tiger Oats Limited, today the company is the biggest food company in South Africa and also has interest in food companies throughout Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Cameroon and Chile.
The first product the company produced was its well-known Jungle Oats brand, a breakfast oatmeal. Jungle Oats are still produced by the brand. Key Responsibilities
You must represent the bursary programme positively in your professional conduct and fulfill any work-back obligations specified in your bursary contract after graduating. As a bursary recipient, your responsibilities will include maintaining the minimum academic performance standards and attending all lectures and tutorials as required.
Entry Requirements
• Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
• You must be South African citizen
• You must have completed Matric
• You must be studying towards a Bachelors degree or BTech degree, in ANY field
• You must currently be in your 1st year of study
• You must be entering your 2nd year of study in 2025 (the year which you are applying for funding for)
• You must have achieved a minimum overall average result of 65%
• You must be studying at a recognised university in South Africa
• Preference may be given, but not limited, to candidates from under-represented designated groups
