Role Overview
Administrative support role within the Sneakers & Trainers team, focused on ensuring smooth operation of third-party brand buying. The incumbent will be responsible for data entry, purchase order creation and maintenance, critical path management, stakeholder liaison, and customer service support.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured admin work, excels with data entry and process management, and wants to support e-commerce buying of branded fashion goods without commercial responsibilities. The focus is on accuracy, process integrity, and cross-functional teamwork – not buying strategy or product development.
Admin support across the full buying cycle: purchase order creation, amendments, and management; stock delivery tracking and reporting; critical path management.
Ensuring correct SKUs, pricing, delivery dates, and quantities on all related documents, reports, systems, and the website.
Gathering all necessary product information from third-party brands (images, descriptions, specifications, barcodes) and capturing data accurately.
Check the website to ensure accuracy of imagery, descriptions, sizing, and specifications.
Maintain and manage critical path, delivery timelines, and stakeholder notifications.
Create and update spreadsheets, map sheets, dashboards, and reports using Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
Liaise daily with stakeholders: planning, operations, customer service, and brand partners to resolve admin queries.
Reports to: Category Manager / Head of Department
Key interactions: brand representatives (third party), buying and planning team, operations and inbound teams, finance, and customer service.

Grade 12/ Matric; tertiary qualification (certificate/diploma) in Business Administration, Office Management, or similar is preferred.
Experience in a buyer’s admin, buying support, or merchandising admin role – ideally in fashion/ footwear or branded goods buying – is advantageous.
Working knowledge of the retail buying cycle, especially third-party/ branded buying, is preferred.
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, lookups); comfortable with PowerPoint/ reporting tools. Please do not apply if you are not qualified or experienced in Excel.
Strong administration, organisational, and time-management skills; able to prioritise under tight timelines.
Excellent written and verbal communication; articulate with brand partners and internal stakeholders.
