SGS is offering a YES (Youth Employment Service) Internship Programme aimed at empowering unemployed South African youth with valuable workplace experience. The programme provides participants with practical exposure, mentorship, and skills development while working in a professional environment. Interns gain hands-on experience in areas such as fieldwork, laboratory support, quality control, and general operational tasks, helping them build technical and workplace skills that improve their employability and career prospects.
Locations: Barberton and Randfontein.
Responsible for cleaning up the site / workshop after task is completed or at the end of the day which comes first, where the job was carried out and make sure it's free off all consumables used to perform the job (masking tapes, tins, etc)
To adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system
To orally report any deviations, irregulateries and non-conformance's
Responsible to perform any other reasonable task assigned by the authorized site supervisor/laboratory manager and regional manager.
Perform all field and laboratory work including sampling, calculations and performing test methods accurately.
Ensure discipline within his/her assigned department.
Minimum Grade 12 (Mathematics and Science)
Be a South African citizen (be able to produce a valid South African ID document)
Be between the ages of 18-33 years old
Must be currently unemployed and have not yet been on a YES Program before
Must have no criminal record
Must be willing to relocate to Barberton and Randfontein
Exceptional Computer Literacy (use of MS Office suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
An affinity for data analysis
High attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in completing tasks.
Exceptional organizational skills
Self-motivated and high level of initiative
