Seriti is offering Engineering Learnership opportunities at New Vaal Colliery for applicants from local host communities.

The purpose of the learnership is to develop learners to successfully qualify as Artisans in selected engineering trades.

This opportunity is suitable for applicants who are interested in building a career in mining engineering, mechanical maintenance, electrical systems and artisan trades.

Programme: Engineering Learnership 18.2 External

Minimum Experience: Entry Level

Applicants can apply for the following trades:

Applicants must clearly indicate which trade they are applying for in their application.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 with Mathematics, not Mathematical Literacy, and Science with a minimum E symbol

Two N2 trade-related subjects; or

Minimum N2 with relevant 4 trade-related subjects

Minimum Symbol E, 40%, for required subjects

Subjects with F symbols will not be accepted

Must be able and prepared to undergo psychometric assessment

Must be able and willing to work shifts, standby and call-outs when required

Must be able to cope with pressure

Must be innovative and a self-starter

Must be able to identify faults without supervision

Must be in possession of, or able to obtain, a valid Certificate of Fitness

Must have a valid K53 driver’s licence
