Role Overview
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is a government agency responsible for administering social assistance grants to eligible South Africans. Its mandate is to provide financial support to vulnerable individuals and households, including the elderly, people with disabilities, children, and those in need, in order to reduce poverty and promote social welfare. SASSA plays a critical role in implementing the country’s social security system and improving access to essential support services.
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is inviting TVET college learners, throughout South Africa, to apply for our Work Integrated Learning Programme. All applicants must have completed N6: National Certificate and are required to complete a minimum of 6 to 18 months practical work exposure to fulfill the requirements to be awarded a qualification, be South African citizens, and unemployed.
Successful candidates will be appointed for a minimum of 6 to 18 months internship Work Integrated Learning contract. An all-inclusive monthly stipend of R5 639,75 will be payable.

Key Responsibilities
As an intern, your responsibilities will typically include assisting senior team members with daily tasks and project deliverables, conducting research and preparing reports as directed by your supervisor, and attending team meetings to contribute ideas. In this internship, you will be expected to learn and apply company processes, systems, and tools, complete assigned projects within specified deadlines, and maintain accurate records of your work and learning progress.
Entry Requirements
South African citizenship or valid work permit, and a relevant qualification or current enrolment at a recognised tertiary institution. Strong communication skills in English and basic computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office are required for this role.
