Role Overview

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) offers a Military Skills Development (MSD) program on a two-year contract. During the first year of service, recruits undergo initial military training followed by specialized functional training within their respective Services.

In the second year, depending on the requirements of their specific mustering, members are deployed to various Units where they are given the opportunity to apply their knowledge, develop leadership qualities, and enhance their practical skills in a professional environment.

RSA Citizen (No dual citizenship).

18 - 22 years old (Must have Grade 12 or higher)

18 - 26 years old (Must have a 3 years tertiary qualification)

Admission Point Score (APS) of 18 and above (excluding LO)

Have no criminal record or pending cases.

Comply with medical fitness requirements for the appointment.

No Visible tattoos (Legs, lower arm, neck and face)

Key Responsibilities
