Rheinmetall Denel Munition is inviting students to apply for the Rheinmetall Resonant South Africa Bursary Programme, for the 2026 academic year.
Bursaries will be awarded for BEng studies, within the following fields:
The aim of the bursary program is to address South Africa’s shortage of specialized talent, with a particular emphasis on developing engineering expertise.
After completing their studies, students may be offered a position in the Engineering Graduate Programme, which will help to establish a solid foundation for a future career.
Key Responsibilities
You must represent the bursary programme positively in your professional conduct and fulfill any work-back obligations specified in your bursary contract after graduating. As a bursary recipient, your responsibilities will include maintaining the minimum academic performance standards and attending all lectures and tutorials as required.
Entry Requirements

• You must be a South African citizen
• You must have completed Matric
• You must be studying full-time towards a Bachelor of Engineering degree, within one of the fields of study listed above
• You must be entering your 3rd or 4th year of study in 2026
• You must be studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
• You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 75% in the current year of study
