The Mercedes-Benz Learning Academy (previously known as the Mercedes-Benz Technical Training Centre), was formed with the aim of developing local skills and artisans in the Eastern Cape province, and was the first fully integrated non-racial institution in the industry.

Mercedes-Benz South Africa is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2026 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded to academically deserving candidates, for undergraduate studies within the following fields:

The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, accommodation or transport expenses, stipend, textbooks and digital allowances.

Key Responsibilities

You must represent the bursary programme positively in your professional conduct and fulfill any work-back obligations specified in your bursary contract after graduating. As a bursary recipient, your responsibilities will include maintaining the minimum academic performance standards and attending all lectures and tutorials as required.

Entry Requirements

• Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
• You must be a South African citizen (foreign nationals may apply if they qualify for a work visa/permits as per the provisions of the Immigration Act 13, 2002)
• You must have completed Matric
• You must be entering your 1st or 2nd year of full-time studies, towards a qualification in one of the fields of study listed above
• You must be enrolled to study at a recognised and accredited University in South Africa
• You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 70%, in your final Matric results
• You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% in your most recent semester results, if currently studying
• You must NOT be an employees of Mercedes-Benz South Africa Group of Companies
