Role Overview

Knysna Municipality, in partnership with Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority (CHIETA), invites unemployed South African youth to apply for the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026.

Internship Application Closing Date: 5 June 2026

Internship Location: Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa

The Knysna Municipality is offering 20 Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities for unemployed youth who require practical workplace experience to complete their qualifications.

The programme will run for a period of 18 months.

Applications are invited from TVET College students who completed their coursework and still require in-service training in the following fields:

National Diploma / N6 Public Management

National Diploma / N6 Management Assistant

National Diploma / N6 Business Management

National Diploma / N6 Human Resources

Be permanent residents within the Knysna Municipality area

Have completed the theoretical component of their studies

Require in-service training to complete their qualification

Preference will be given to applicants from previously disadvantaged groups.

Applicants must submit the following:

Completed Knysna Municipality Application Form

Certified copy of qualifications

Certified copy of South African ID (not older than 6 months)

Bank statement not older than 3 months

Applicants who applied previously do not need to re-apply

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted

If you do not receive feedback within 3 months after the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful
