Role Overview

The Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme (ISFAP) was formed with the goal of providing financial assistance to poor and middle income university students, in order that they may afford their tertiary fees.

ISFAP is a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) that raises funds from various sources and donors, including non-profit organisations; government institutions; development finance institutions; foundations and private sector; local and international donors and private individuals. The funds are used to help students from South Africa’s poor and middle-class, to pursue their undergraduate tertiary studies.

ISFAP is inviting students to apply for their Postgraduate bursary programme, for the 2027 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded for Postgraduate studies, towards these selected qualifications, at the following partner institutions: University of Pretoria:

Key Responsibilities

You must represent the bursary programme positively in your professional conduct and fulfill any work-back obligations specified in your bursary contract after graduating. As a bursary recipient, your responsibilities will include maintaining the minimum academic performance standards and attending all lectures and tutorials as required.

• Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
• You must be a South African citizen
• You must have been accepted to study at one of the above partner tertiary institutions, towards one of the qualifications listed above, in 2027
• You must be starting your first year of postgraduate studies in the 2027 academic year
