Inxuba Yethemba Municipality is offering four internship opportunities within its Corporate Services Department.

A degree or National Diploma in Information Technology.

A qualification specialising in Support Services, Computer Networks or a related field.

The following qualifications will be an added advantage:

The successful interns will assist with:

Providing end-user technical support.

Troubleshooting network and computer problems.

Coordinating troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.

Resolving software and hardware problems.

Communicating technical issues to the immediate supervisor.

Conducting research on equipment and application requirements.

Installing and configuring software applications.

Testing applications and solving system errors.

A National Diploma in Public Administration, Management or Records Management.

A relevant NQF Level 6 qualification.

Successful candidates will assist with:

Receiving incoming and outgoing mail.

Recording dates and address details in registers or electronic registry systems.

Creating new files using approved reference codes.

Preparing physical documents by removing staples, paper clips and damaged pages.

Converting physical records into secure digital formats.

Compiling minutes of registry meetings.

Forwarding meeting minutes to the relevant supervisor.

Checking scanned images for clarity, accuracy and completeness.

Ensuring that all document pages are captured.

Capturing document details such as dates, references and document types.

Identifying records that are due for permanent archiving.

Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.
