The internship is located within the Office of the Municipal Manager, Internal Audit Unit.

Position: Financial Management / Internal Audit Intern
Salary: R120 000.00 annually fixed

Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with at least one of the following major subjects: Internal Auditing Auditing Financial Accounting Risk Management
Good interpersonal relations and high degree of ethics
Knowledge of local government legislation and the Constitution of the Republic
Understanding of local government oversight processes and responsibilities
The successful intern will assist with:
Preparing and seating Disciplinary Board and Audit and Risk Committee meetings
Administrative support for both Internal Audit and Audit and Risk Committee
Delivery of the risk-based annual internal audit plan
Planning, fieldwork and reporting activities
Ensuring adherence to the municipal internal audit methodology
Certified copies of original certificates, not older than 3 months
