Corporate Finance Analyst
Role Overview
Catalyst Capital Partners is a boutique corporate finance and strategic advisory firm advising public and private-sector clients on complex transactions, restructurings, operating-model design, and strategic transformation initiatives across South Africa and the region.
We are seeking high-calibre graduates and early-career professionals (0–3 years’ experience) to join our team in analyst roles. Appointments will be made across two tracks:
2 × Corporate Finance Analysts
2 × Strategic Management Consulting Analysts
All appointments will commence with a two-month internship / probation period, with conversion to a fixed-term analyst contract subject to performance.
Recently graduated or early-career professional with 0–3 years’ experience
Undergraduate or honours degree with a minimum 70% academic average
Preferred fields of study:
Strong quantitative and analytical capability
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate in a high-performance, deadline-driven environment
Prior internships, vacation work, articles, or relevant academic or professional project experience
Demonstrated interest in corporate finance and transaction-related work
Strong attention to detail and numerical discipline
High work ethic and willingness to learn
Professional maturity suitable for client-facing engagements

Taking ownership of key deliverables and driving them to completion is essential, as is building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation while developing your professional skills. As a graduate programme participant, your responsibilities will include completing structured rotations across different business units to gain broad organisational exposure and delivering on project objectives.
