City of Johannesburg invites qualifying students and graduates to apply for the Paralegal Internship Programme 2026 within the Group Legal and Contracts Department.

Internship Location: Braamfontein, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

Department: Group Legal and Contracts

Location: Metropolitan Centre, 158 Civic Boulevard, Braamfontein

Completed Qualification (Minimum 360 credits): R10 109.86 per month

Enrolled as a 2nd Year Student: R3 500.00 per month

National Diploma in Law, Legal Assistance, Paralegal or related field (NQF Level 6)

Must be a resident of the City of Johannesburg

The successful candidate will assist the Group Legal and Contracts Department with:

Filing and preparation of legal documents

Coordinating legal and court-related processes

The role also involves supporting the City in minimizing legal risks and protecting municipal interests.

Interns will gain experience in:

Legal and administrative support

Litigation management processes

Court procedures and legal documentation

Meeting coordination and administration

Office support and telephonic services

Working with legal practitioners and service providers
