Air Traffic and Navigation Services SOC Limited (ATNS) invites South African unemployed youth to apply for the ATNS Bursary Programme 2026.

The ATNS Aviation Training Academy (ATA) in Bonaero Park provides specialised training in Air Traffic Services and aviation safety programmes.

ATNS will award 117 bursaries for studies in Air Traffic Services fields.

Successful applicants will join one of the following streams:

Air Traffic Services Officer (ATSO)

Aeronautical Information Management Officer (AIMO)

Target Generating Officer (TGO)

Airport Management Centre (AMC) Liaison Officer

Simulator Support Officer (SSO)

Students will be placed according to ATNS operational requirements and will undergo comprehensive aviation training at the ATNS Aviation Training Academy.

Selected bursary recipients will:

Receive structured aviation training

Gain exposure to various aspects of air traffic management

Study at the ATNS Aviation Training Academy in Gauteng

Prepare for careers in air traffic services and aviation operations

This programme is ideal for individuals passionate about aviation safety and airspace management.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Achieved a minimum of Level 4 / HG “D” / SG “C” in: Pure Mathematics English

Be interested in training toward a career in Air Traffic Management

Be willing to study at the Aviation Training Academy in Bonaero Park

Be willing to relocate anywhere in South Africa

Must NOT have previously participated in a similar ATNS programme

Be medically fit and willing to undergo medical assessment (ATSO stream)

Failure to meet these requirements will result in disqualification.
