Guvon Academy, in partnership with Hot Cares, is offering a life-changing bursary opportunity to one deserving South African student who dreams of becoming a professional chef.
The bursary was generously donated during the HOT 1027 Teddython 2025 and forms part of Guvon Academy’s ongoing commitment to empowering young South Africans through education and skills development.
The successful candidate will study towards the Occupational Certificate: Chef (SAQA ID 101697), a comprehensive three-year chef training programme that combines classroom learning, practical culinary training, and workplace experience within the hospitality industry.
The programme is scheduled to commence in July 2026 at Guvon Academy in Johannesburg.
The bursary is valued at approximately R350 000 and will cover:
Access to internationally recognised Highfield Qualifications from the United Kingdom
Practical and workplace-based training
