The Engineering Learnership Programme 18.2 combines institutional learning with practical workplace training. Successful completion of the programme will lead to a nationally recognised artisan qualification.

The following learnership opportunities are available:

Structured off-the-job training.

Exposure to engineering activities within the mining industry.

Workplace mentorship and guidance.

A pathway towards a nationally recognised artisan qualification.

Learners must complete both the theoretical and practical components of the programme.

Applicants must have Matric with:

Mathematics, not Mathematical Literacy.

A minimum pass mark of 40% in each required subject.

Applicants must also have either:

N2 or a higher engineering qualification with all four required subjects passed; or

NCV Level 4 in an appropriate trade, with all subjects passed at a minimum of 40%.

The N2 qualification must include Mathematics and Engineering Science, together with the relevant trade subjects.

Applicants for the Boilermaker Learnership must have relevant N2 subjects including:

Plating Structural and Steelwork Drawings.

There are three Boilermaker learnership positions available.

Applicants for the Electrician Learnership must have relevant subjects including:
