Valterra Platinum invites South African students to apply for the Valterra Platinum Bursary Programme 2027.

Valterra Platinum is inviting students to apply for its Bursary Programme for the 2027 academic year.

The bursary may also cover accommodation in university residence and meals, where applicable.
Bursary recipients may receive paid vacation work opportunities to gain practical workplace experience.
Students may also get an opportunity to work on real-world challenges at Valterra Platinum operations.
The bursary includes ongoing mentorship to support academic and personal development.
After graduation, successful bursary recipients may enter the Valterra Platinum Graduate Programme.
Applicants must be studying full-time towards a mining or geology qualification.
Applicants must be final-year undergraduate students in 2026.

Applicants must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% in their most recent results.
Applicants must be studying at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa.
Applicants must be keen to pursue a career in Geotechnical Rock Engineering.
Applicants must be willing to join the Valterra Platinum Graduate Programme after graduation and rotate across Valterra Platinum mines, including Amandelbult, Mogalakwena and Mototolo.
Applicants must be currently in Matric in 2026 and must be entering their first year of undergraduate studies in 2027 towards one of the following qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Surveying.
Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mine Surveying.
Applicants may also apply if they are final-year undergraduate students in 2026 studying towards a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Surveying, or Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mine Surveying, and will be prospective Honours students in 2027.
Applicants must be willing to join the Valterra Platinum Graduate Programme after graduation and rotate across Valterra Platinum mines.
Applicants must be studying full-time towards a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mining Engineering.
Preference will be given to learners from communities in and around Valterra Platinum operations.
This is in line with Valterra Platinum’s commitment to local socio-economic development.
Processing operations are located in Rustenburg in the North West Province and Polokwane in Limpopo.
Mining operations are located in Thabazimbi, Burgersfort and Mokopane in Limpopo.
