The Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) is a Schedule 3A public entity of the Department of Human Settlements, established in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). SHRA is responsible for regulating and promoting affordable rental social housing for low- to middle-income earners across South Africa.

SHRA is offering a two-year internship opportunity aimed at providing unemployed graduates under the age of 35 with valuable workplace experience in the compliance and regulatory environment.

The programme forms part of SHRA’s Young Graduate Programme, which seeks to equip graduates from universities and universities of technology with practical skills and industry exposure.

Position: Compliance Officer Intern

Department: Compliance, Audit and Risk (CAR)

Reporting To: Compliance Manager

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

Successful interns will gain practical experience in:

Compliance Information Management and Reporting

Regulatory Enforcement Processes

Three-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in: Law Business Management Auditing

Qualification must be at NQF Level 7

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Certificate in Compliance Management
