Equivalent to US$6.50 per teaching hour
Paid based on completed classes
Please Note: This is an independent contractor role. Your earnings depend on the number of student bookings you receive, meaning hours are not guaranteed.
As an Online English Teacher, you’ll teach:
English proficiency levels from A1 to C1
One-on-two lessons (maximum two learners)
Each regular lesson lasts 25 minutes, while demo lessons range between 21 and 25 minutes.
Teachers are required to provide at least:
14 hours of weekly availability
Teaching window:12:00 PM – 3:30 PM South African Time (SAST)Monday to Sunday
12:00 PM – 3:30 PM South African Time (SAST)
Maximum teaching schedule:Up to 6 days per week
You can decide how to spread your available hours throughout the week.
Deliver engaging online English lessons
Help learners improve speaking, listening, reading and comprehension skills

A completed National Diploma or tertiary qualification in any field
An accredited 120-hour TEFL, TESOL, CELTA or equivalent certification
At least 1 year of teaching experience
Good organisational and time-management abilities
Patience and enthusiasm for teaching children
Since this is a remote position, applicants must have suitable equipment.

UPS or backup power with 4–5 hours battery life
