North West Provincial Treasury, in partnership with PSETA, invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for the Graduate Internship Programme 2026/28.

Internship Location: Mahikeng and Ramotshere Local Municipality, North West, South Africa

The North West Department of Provincial Treasury, in partnership with the Public Service Sector Education and Training Authority (PSETA), is inviting applications for the 24-month Graduate Internship Programme 2026/28.

The programme is aimed at unemployed South African graduates who want to gain practical work experience in the public sector while receiving a monthly stipend.

Graduates living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

The programme offers 20 internship opportunities as follows:

Provincial Accounting: 11 posts

Finance, Ramotshere Local Municipality: 2 posts

Internal Audit, Ramotshere Local Municipality: 2 posts

Human Resource Management, Ramotshere Local Municipality: 2 posts

Successful applicants will be appointed on a 24-month internship contract.

Interns will receive a monthly stipend of R7 675.75.

Have completed the required qualification

Be available for the full 24-month internship programme

Graduates living with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Applicants should note the following:

Applicants who have already participated in any internship programme will not be considered

If it is discovered after appointment that an applicant previously completed an internship, the internship contract will be terminated immediately

Applicants awaiting certificates must submit an academic transcript and a letter confirming successful completion of studies

Letter confirming completion of studies, if the qualification certificate has not yet been issued
