Gert Sibande TVET College, in partnership with INSETA, invites unemployed students to apply for the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026.

Programme Location: Gert Sibande Region, Mpumalanga, South Africa

Gert Sibande TVET College, in collaboration with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), is offering an exciting 18-month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunity for qualifying students who require practical workplace experience to complete their qualifications and improve their employability.

The programme will place successful candidates within insurance organisations across the Gert Sibande Region, providing valuable industry exposure and hands-on experience in the financial and insurance sector.

Applications are invited from students who have completed N4 to N6 qualifications or possess a DHET Statement of Results in the following Report 191 Business Studies programmes:

The Work Integrated Learning Programme will run for a period of 18 months.

Be willing to work within the insurance sector and funeral parlours

Not intend to study during the programme period

Not be participating in any other learnership, internship, or training programme

Be a registered or former Gert Sibande TVET College student

Possess N4 to N6 Certificates or a DHET Statement of Results in one of the qualifying fields

Note: Students currently volunteering, particularly outside the insurance industry, are discouraged from applying.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

Originally certified copy of South African ID

Originally certified copy of Matric Certificate

Originally certified copy of NCV Certificate (where applicable)

Originally certified copies of N4, N5 and N6 Certificates or DHET Statement of Results

All certified documents must not be older than six months.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Key Responsibilities

As a learner, your responsibilities will include attending all scheduled theoretical training sessions and completing coursework on time, and applying learned concepts in the workplace under mentor guidance. You will maintain a portfolio of evidence documenting your practical experience and competencies, while meeting all assessment requirements set by the relevant SETA and adhering to workplace policies.
