The internship is offered as a one-year contract appointment and is aimed at candidates who want to gain practical workplace experience in internal auditing, accounting, audit planning and municipal audit support.

The successful intern will assist in the planning phase of audits.

The intern will also assist in conducting audits as scheduled in the Internal Audit Annual Operational Plan.

Other duties include completing internal audit files using the required templates.

The intern will also provide administrative and audit-related support to the Division: Internal Audit.

Applicants must have a National Diploma in Internal Auditing or Accounting.

An equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification may also be considered.

This internship is suitable for graduates who want to gain workplace exposure in internal auditing, accounting, municipal governance and audit administration.
