With over 115 years of excellence in the fishing and seafood industry, I&J is known for producing premium products like Cape Hake and farmed Abalone, while maintaining strong commitments to sustainability and innovation.

⚠️ Note: This is NOT a learnership, but a structured work experience programme.

Programme: YES4Youth Work Employment Programme

Industry: Manufacturing / Seafood Processing

Location: Cape Town (Various I&J Sites)

To qualify for this programme, applicants must:

Have completed at least Grade 10 (Standard 8)

Not have participated in a YES4Youth Programme before

Not be enrolled in any government-funded training programme

Certified copy of ID (not older than 3 months)

Certified copy of highest qualification (not older than 3 months)

SARS Tax document (certificate/letter)

Stamped bank account details/statement (not older than 3 months)

Key Responsibilities

As a learner, your responsibilities will include attending all scheduled theoretical training sessions and completing coursework on time, and applying learned concepts in the workplace under mentor guidance. You will maintain a portfolio of evidence documenting your practical experience and competencies, while meeting all assessment requirements set by the relevant SETA and adhering to workplace policies.
